What It Means To Be A Knight

Our Charitable Services

Giving back to our Church, youth and community

Some of our charitable activities are donations to the Saint James School in Basking Ridge, awards for students at the Saint Elizabeth School in Bernardsville, and sponsorship of an annual wine tasting event for charity. We also host barbecues and bingo nights with prizes for veterans of the VA New Jersey Healthcare System at the Lyons campus. We host breakfast fundraisers to support our seminarians on their path towards priesthood, we support events at the Bethel Ridge Home assisted care facility, we are in charge of a collection drive for New Eyes for the Needy, and we volunteer at the St. Peter’s Episcopal Church Soup Kitchen in Morristown.

Additional services include participation in Charter Day, marching in the Memorial Day Parade, an annual youth basketball free throw contest, an annual Easter Egg Hunt for children, sponsorship of the Lenten Family Fish Bake Dinners, support and donations to the Right to Life causes, Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners, support for our parish priests, help for local families or Knights in need, and social meetings with guest speakers and faith based lectures.

Who We Serve

The Knights of Columbus Council 2393 has been serving the communities of the Church of Saint James in Basking Ridge, and Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Bernardsville, since the original charter was formed back in 1922.

Who Can Join

Men who are practicing Catholics, and who share in our core principals and wish to serve our churches and communities are encouraged to serve and to enjoy the fellowship and camaraderie of brother knights and our social and family events.

What It Costs

Our annual dues are $40. This helps us cover the cost of Council events and various social gatherings. Beyond that, all Knights are encouraged to volunteer for at least three events, and attend at least three of our business meetings, throughout the year.
